Relithia Energy's journey began as a research project among passionate engineering students across Africa, united by a shared vision to harness engineering solutions to address the continent's pressing challenges. Initially known as the Association for Engineering in Science and Technology (AEST), the initiative has since transitioned into a pioneering startup, revolutionizing the way Africa approaches energy storage and electronic waste management.
Founded in 2023 by a team of visionary engineers, including Engr. Hendrick T. Chikwanha and Olalekan Olowe, Relithia Energy is at the forefront of developing a comprehensive closed-loop ecosystem for lithium-ion battery recycling and manufacturing. Our innovative approach transforms discarded batteries into valuable raw materials, which are then repurposed to produce high-performance prismatic lithium-ion cells, driving Africa towards a sustainable and circular energy future.
